Year 3 trip- Jewish Museum
On Thursday 22nd November, Year 3 were lucky enough to go to the Jewish museum in Camden.
The day was broken into two halves, the first part of the day being 'Terrific Torah', where the children were able to learn all about the Jewish holy text. I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge they had remembered and showcasing to the staff at the museum!
The second half of the day (Shabbat, Shalom!) comprised of two workshops for the children. We explored Jewish artifacts from the gallery, and then were lucky enough to use quills and ink and have a go at writing Hebrew for ourselves.
We made Jewish candles and got to take them home with us too. As we were leaving, the staff at the museum let us try some Jewish bread and grape juice.
What a fantastic day!
